Corvette C1 fully electric

The 1962 Corvette was the last member of the first Corvette generation. Like all Corvettes, it had a plastic body, making it a lightweight for its time. A good basis for an electric car.

Through a complete restoration and all-round renewal, we have led the classic into an electric future.

The following work was carried out on the way to the electric car:

Restoration

Frame sandblasted and powder coated
Plastic bodywork cleared of paint residue and filler, defective areas rebuilt with fiberglass-reinforced plastic
Vehicle repainted
Procurement of missing parts, where necessary adaptation of these parts
Chrome parts newly chromed
New softtop mounted

Electrification

Choice of suitable components
Development of batteries and suitable battery boxes
Circuit diagram for high voltage and 12V
Installation of motor and gearbox with suitable motor mount
Installation of power electronics
Programming and testing of motor control

Individual adaptations

Weight reduction, e.g. modification of hood mount, windshield wiper system, two-component paint
Design of the gear shift gate
Redesign of gauges in the original style
Battery viewing window
